Associate Lecturer in Architecture

John is an architect and educator based in London. He leads projects that follow a strong ethical agenda, working with clients and collaborators to design solutions that put user experience front and centre. Combining commercial sensitivity with a passion for sustainable design, John’s simple ambition is to bring meaningful delight to the everyday, for generations to come.
John’s experience delivering projects for award-winning practices DSDHA and AOC Architecture, as well as ethical start-up Useful Studio and a short stint in Los Angeles, inspired him to set up Egg Collective: a multidisciplinary group who design things that help people live better.
Alongside his CSA commitments John teaches architecture to undergraduates at the University of Westminster. He has been a visiting critic and workshop-co-ordinator at some of the country’s leading schools of architecture, including Cambridge University, the Royal College of Art, London Metropolitan University, Nottingham University and the University of Brighton. He also runs workshops introducing architecture to teenagers at local secondary schools.
John studied at the University of Cambridge and the Royal College of Art, where he was named as one of the UK’s Top 50 Design Graduates by Blueprint Magazine in 2009. Some of his work has been published internationally. John completed his professional education at the Bartlett School of Architecture in 2011.
