MULTISTORY Guest Lecture Shumi Bose Academic & Curator Thurs 10th Nov 2016



We are pleased to announce a MULTISTORY guest lecture by Shumi Bose, academic, curator and writer.

Thursday 10th November 2016 // Drinks 5:30pm // Lecture 6pm // The Architecture Foyer.

Shumi Bose is an architectural writer, editor, teacher and curator. She teaches Contextual Studies at CSM and History and Theory at the AA.

Her most recent project involved co-curating the British Pavilions 'Home Economics' for the 2016 Venice Architecture Biennale. 'Home Economics' presents five new models for living, curated through their time of occupation (hours, days, months, years and decades).

In 2012, Shumi was also a curatorial collaborator, working with Sir David Chipperfield in the 13th Architecture Biennale, Common Ground.

Shumi's background is in publishing, working internationally on books, magazines and websites about architecture, design and art. From that she has edited for Blueprint magazine and Streak Press.

Recent publications include 'Home Economics' ( The Spaces, 2016), Real Review #1 (Real Press, 2016), 'Places for Strangers' (with mæ architects, Park Books 2014) and 'Real Estates' (with Fulcrum, Bedford Press, 2015)
