FLOATING URBANISM
REDEFINING COASTAL TERRITORIES

Rates of coastal urbanisation continue to rise globally, creating scenarios in which human inhabitation begins to push and pull at natures great frontier, the divide between land and water. The exhibition 'Floating Urbanism' investigates future solutions for rapidly expanding coastal territories, new systems of living and the anthropogenic impact on the immediate environment. The exhibition features projects by final year Master of Architecture students at UCA Canterbury School of Architecture and intends to encourage speculation around the potential of floating urbanism as a sustainable method of designing future cities.
